Zhane (Power Rangers)

Zhane is a fictional character and hero in the Power Rangers universe, appearing in the television series Power Rangers in Space. He was portrayed by Justin Nimmo.

Zhane was born on the planet KO-35, and also like Andros and Karone, he possesses telekinesis. Before the attack on his homeworld, Zhane was given the powers of the Silver Ranger and became a legend. He was seriously wounded in battle with an alien (the alien was a red repaint of Beetleborgs's Ghoulum) however, and his friend Andros kept him cryogenically frozen aboard the Astro Megaship.

During the series, Power Rangers in Space, Zhane woke up again and joined the current team of Power Rangers for a time. Because of the freezing process he developed a condition which only allowed him to remain morphed as the Silver Ranger for short periods of time. In order to fix this he had to find a thunderstorm and morph while being struck by lightning. He confided this to Alpha 6, and when the other Rangers overheard the two of them talking, they wrongly assumed that Zhane was going to die. Zhane took great pleasure in perpetuating this belief until the truth was finally revealed.

He developed a crush on Astronema and she on him when he rescued her from one of her own monsters. They tried to form a relationship, but due to a misunderstanding, it did not work. He also formed a close friendship with the Yellow Ranger, Ashley Hammond, causing Andros to become jealous of him (he had a crush on her himself). Fortunately, he was able to explain things to Andros who afterwards was able to ask Ashley out on a date.

In the finale episode, Countdown to Destruction, Zhane joined Andros, Karone and the other Space Rangers in returning to Earth. His current whereabouts are unknown since he wasn't seen in the event where Deviot frees the Psycho-Rangers from their Data-Card prison.
