From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Zev Yaroslavsky (born December 21, 1948) served on the Los Angeles City Council from 1975 until 1994, when he was elected to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. He was preceded in both offices by Edmund D. Edelman.
He graduated from UCLA in 1971 with a double major in History and Economics, and a Master's Degree in History in 1972.
He was up for reelection this year, running against David Hernandez, an insurance adjuster who fought the change of the Los Angeles County Seal. Nevertheless, Yaroslavsky won handily, receiving 71% of the vote.
