Zentralstelle für jüdische Auswanderung

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Zentralstelle für jüdische Auswanderung, which can be translated as "Central Office for Jewish Emigration", was a Nazi organisation in Vienna and one in Amsterdam.

The office in Vienna, founded in 1938, was first concerned with real emigration of Jews, against payment. Later in Vienna, and from the start in Amsterdam, it was concerned with the forced deportation of Jews to concentration camps.

This organization was closely tied to the SS and many other anti-Semitic Nazi offices. It was mainly meant to be a legitimate front for the covert murder of Jews.
