Zed Bazi
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Zed Bazi is an underground Iranian Rap group from London which has gained much popularity in the past few years. Saman (Wilson) and Mehrad (Hidden) originally met through high school and they later befriended Sohrab (MJ) in a party (BBC interview). They claim to be one of the most famous Rap musicians from Iran, however these claims cannot be verified due to the fact the Rap music movement in Iran is mostly underground. The group claims that due to their supposedly massive underground following other underground musicians have begun copying their style, and they have responded by releasing the track "Diss Back". Many of the beats used in the group's songs have been "acquired" over the Internet or are the instrumental versions of other rap artists like 50 cent or D12. A notable feature about their latest release is that it was co-produced by Alireza JJ and Mehrad Hidden (who also serves as the group's beat producer). Sijal has been featured in the last three releases by the group, and is now believed to be a permanent member. They are based in London.
The group members are as follows:
- Saman (Willson)
- Sohrab (MJ)
- Mehrad (Hidden)
The phrase "zed bazi" is the shortened version of zakhar bazi that alludes to close friendship between persons. [1]
