Zakamensk

Zakamensk (Russian: Зака́менск) is a town in the Buryat Republic, Russia, located 420 km south-west of Ulan-Ude at . Population: 12,709 (2002 Census).
Founded in 1893 as a mining settlement Gorodok. Town status since 1944. Renamed Zakamensk in 1959.
