[edit] Family

His brother, Henri Crockett, was also an American football player, who played for the Atlanta Falcons (1997-2001) and the Minnesota Vikings (2002-2003) but Zach is not related to Ray Crockett. [1]

[edit] High School Years

Crockett attended Ely High School in Pompano Beach, Florida and was a letterman in football. In football, he garnered All-District and All-State honors.

[edit] Pro career

Crockett played three seasons with the Colts, (1995-1997,) and by the end of his tenure, he racked up 21 games played, playing in all 16 twice (1995, 1997), he started 16 of those 21, but picked up only one touchdown and recorded one 20+ yard run, a very rare stat for a fullback to obtain.

After being released by the Colts, Crockett played for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1999 playing in 12 games, and starting two of them. The next year he was released and found his true home, the Oakland Raiders. Since being picked up, he has never missed a game and lead the team in rushing touchdowns twice. In 2003, he had seven starts at the fullback position. That year he led the Raiders with eight touchdowns. In 2001 he also led the Raiders in rushing TD's, this time with six. He had to wait a while to be the starter however, as Jon Ritchie was the main man for the Raiders until 2002.

Crockett fumbled only nine times in his career and lost five of those.

[edit] Rushing Back

Crockett was never much of a receiving back, as he currently has two receiving touchdowns, one in 1996 with the Colts (which still stands as his longest reception,) and one in 1999 with the Raiders. He has 1538 career rushing yards and only 627 receiving yards.

[edit] Personal life

Crockett has stated in an interview with NFLPlayers.com that his favorite movie is Pulp Fiction, and wants to ride a bull eventually. He also likes laying back and watching movies and his favorite food is a tuna casserole melt. He is an adept cook who specializes in frying turkeys.
