Yvon of the Yukon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Yvon of the Yukon is a cartoon television show about a French explorer, Yvon Ducharme, who became frozen in an ice block in the Yukon. The exact date of this is unclear, although his constant cries of devotion towards King Louis indicate it was before the French Revolution. This served the purpose of cryogenically freezing him for 300 years. Luckily for Yvon, he was defrosted when he was urinated on by a sled dog, owned by Tommy, a hip Inuit teenager. The show follows the adventures of Yvon as he attempts to adjust to life in the Yukon whilst the residents of the town do the same. The show was developed by Studio B Productions and Corus Entertainment.

[edit] Trivia
- It is never truly revealed why Yvon only wears his underwear. In fact, in one episode, Tommy tells him, "You still didn't tell me why you only wear your underwear." and Yvon exclaims "Sacre bleu! You are right! And of course, a promise is a promise. OK, the reason I only wear my undiewear is--" but a snowmobile crashed into Yvon at the last second.
- Yvon was a guest at both of Ian Kelley's (Being Ian) Canada Day celebrations. In the second one, he, the Adrenalini Brothers, Jacob Two-Two and Captain Flamingo are posing for a picture, but Yvon is in front of the barbecue. Ian's teenage brothers Kyle and Korey then place a box of firecrackers behind the barbecue, Ian tells them, "Say cheese!", Yvon mutters "Fromageā¦" and passes gas, causing the fire of the barbecue to light the firecrackers and set off fireworks.
- Yvon makes cameo appearances in Being Ian, usually on TV.
