[edit] Self-published and dubious sources in articles about themselves
Material from self-published sources, and other published sources of dubious reliability, may be used as sources of information about themselves in articles about themselves, so long as:
- It is relevant to the person's or organization's notability;
- It is not contentious;
- It is not unduly self-serving;
- It does not involve claims about third parties, or about events not directly related to the subject;
- There is no reasonable doubt about who wrote it.
[edit] They can not be the sole source -- multiple reliable unbiased sources per WP:V
This is true because Wikipedia is on a mission to be taken seriously an an encyclopedia. They are enforcing the criteria more strictly now and will be doing this more so in the future. They are concerned about their credibility and it hurts all of Wikipedia when their standards are not adhered to in individual articles. - You are incorrect. Please cite the exact statement from WP:V that requires this. -999 (Talk) 15:59, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Article needs proper references
There are a range of Wikipedia sources that can help you out. All articles must meet WP:V. To learn how to a proper citing style, consult WP:CITE.
