It became extinct when there was much fighting with Indians? This could be better, maybe someone who knows about this language could help? Jeffklib 03:23, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

I just deleted the sentence. I assume it meant that after numerous wars with the Europeans who showed up in California, the Yuki population was decimated (and assimilated) and with it their language. See Yuki tribe. Since that information is unsourced though, I hesitate to add it to this article. Katr67 00:47, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
