Just from a couple mintues of searching I can see that this person is well known in martial arts circles, especially Shooto. I don't know enough to increase the article more, but I did try to provide some references. I'll try asking people on the shooto page what they can contribute to this. Rightintheface: Yuki Nakai was not blinded by the eye gouge itself, he was blinded by not IMMEDIATELY seeking medical attention after the event. He waited several weeks before finally going to a Dr.
