Youth of the Republican Left of Catalonia

The Youth of the Republican Left of Catalonia (in Catalan: Joventuts d'Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya, JERC) is a Catalan youth political organization. It is the youth wing of the Republican Left of Catalonia (in Catalan: Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya, ERC).

According to their principles declaration, their aim is attaining a democratic society, in which any sign of social or national oppression had disappeared within an ecologically equilibrated territory, by conscientiating and mobilizing the youth of the Catalan Countries.

One of their main projects is an independentist festival, Acampada Jove, which every year congregates many youngsters in Sant Celoni.

Their current national spokesperson is Pere Aragonès.

Their publication is the magazine LA VEU del jovent. They use both the blue and red estelada versions.
