Young Pistols

The Young Pistols were a professional wrestling tag team in World Championship Wrestling also known as The Southern Boys. It was comprised of Tracy Smothers and Steve Armstrong.

Steve Armstrong and Tracy Smothers started teaming as The Southern Boys in Florida Championship Wrestling in 1987 where they feuded with The New Breed. They moved on to Southeast Championship Wrestling where they feuded with The Stud Stable.

They next went to World Championship Wrestling in 1989 where they feuded with The Fabulous Freebirds. This feud lasted over a year with the Southern Boys winning most of the matches but getting laid out quite a bit.

In 1991, they turned heel and changed their name to The Young Pistols and feuded with The Patriots and the team of Ron Simmons and Big Josh. By 1992, the team split as Smothers left WCW for ECW and Steve teamed with his brother, Scott Armstrong.

In 2000 they teamed up briefly in Ohio Valley Wrestling where they feuded with "The Disciples of Syn".
