"You Lay a Whole Lot of Love on Me" was the third and final single released from Shania Twain's 1993 album Shania Twain. The song was written by Forest Borders II and Hank Beach. The single was released to radio in September of 1993. However, like the previous two singles, it didn't get much airplay, and actually failed to appear on the Billboard country singles chart. To date, it remains the only U.S. released single of Twain's career that failed to make the U.S. Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
