You're in Trouble is a song by glam metal band Ratt. It was released as the second track of their commercially successful album Out of the Cellar. It was co-written by Ratt vocalist Stephen Pearcy, and guitarists Robbin Crosby and Warren DeMartini. It is 3:16 long. It is believed to be the song to have inspired reggae group Inner Circle to write their 1989 smash hit "Bad Boys", which is the theme song for long-running FOX reality TV series COPS.
"You're in Trouble" has the lines:
- We're gonna get you, what ya gonna do, do, do
- We're gonna get you, what ya gonna do
and "Bad Boys" has the lines:
- Whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do
- When they come for you
Because the lines are very similar to another, and both songs deal with felony, it has started such speculation.
