You're in Love, Charlie Brown
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
You're in Love, Charlie Brown is one of many prime-time animated TV specials based upon the popular comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. It was originally aired on the CBS network in 1967.
Charlie Brown is in love with a girl in his class, but is too shy to talk to her. He tries many different things to get her attention, but none of them work. However, on the way home on the last day of school, she gives him a note addressed to him that tells him that she did, indeed, notice him (the note is signed "Little Red-Haired Girl.")
This special features the title song, which would later become background music in other Peanuts specials. The special also marks the animated debut of Peppermint Patty (who first appeared in the comic strip in 1966). This is also the first special to employ "trombonish" sounds to represent the spoken words of adults.
Along with the special It's Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown, this was released to DVD as a bonus feature with Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown on January 7, 2003.
