The Yorkshire Evening Post (often abbreviated to YEP) is a daily evening publication published by Yorkshire Post Newspapers Ltd in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The paper provides a regional slant on the day's news, and traditionally provides close reporting on Leeds United FC and Leeds Rhinos as well as the Yorkshire County Cricket Club team.
Although the newspaper has no editorial or direct political opinion as many daily national newspapers do, there has been a shift from the political left towards the right in recent months. Also, front page headlines with a negative story have begun to outweigh the feel-good stories that once dominated the newspaper.
