Yorkshire Phoenix (194.203.110.127) — Yorky to his friends — was born in Doncaster in the West Riding of Yorkshire and educated at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, the Infantry Training Centre (Catterick) and the Royal School of Artillery, Larkhill.
He enjoys snowboarding and martial arts and supports Leeds Rhinos Rugby League Football Club, Yorkshire County Cricket Club and local football clubs including Doncaster Rovers, Leeds United, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough.
As a proud expatriated Yorkshireman, Yorky defends the identity of his county. As a result of this he is often identified as part of the "traditional counties" movement, which brings him into conflict with certain banned vandals who accuse him of being a "County Watch vandal". Truth is, he isn't really bothered what county people identify with outside of Yorkshire (but Yorkshiremen who identify themselves as anything else need to be re-educated!)
Similarly, as a British unionist he sometimes comes into conflict with English nationalists. Thing is, he has no objection to the federalisation of the United Kingdom: he just believes that Yorkshire (being the North, West and East Ridings and the city and Ainsty of York, not "Yorkshire and the Humber" or the handful of local government entities with Yorkshire in their name) and Cornwall would be better served by their own parliaments and would gain nothing from an English one (and would probably become victims of even worse South East England bias than that of the United Kingdom Parliament over the years).
