Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath

Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath, born Sidhoji Rao Shitole (May 10, 1944), is a spiritual leader and Sat Guru. He is widely known as a teacher of Hamsa Yoga and Kriya Yoga. He is also a published author, having written several books on these topics.

He is the founder of Hamsa Yoga Sangh, an organization dedicated to teaching and spreading "Earth Peace through Self Peace." Under his guidance Hamsa Yoga Sangh has expanded worldwide.[citation needed]

He was born in Gwalior, India to Shri Krishnarao Raje and Sou Snehalata Raje Shitole, descendants of the Shitole and Sisodia ancestral dynasties of Gwalior. He was educated at Sherwood College in Nainital in his youth. He later received a Bachelors degree from Fergusson College in Pune, Maharashtra, India.[citation needed]

Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath is a householder yogi. When he is not touring, he lives in Pune, Maharashtra, India with wife of over 30 years, Shivangini. They have 2 sons - Shivraj, a classical Indian musician who is a student of Kishori Amonkar, and Rudrasen, an engineer who lives in the United States. Both are married with children.
