From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yogeeta Bali (Hindi: योगिता बलि, Urdu: یوگِتا بلِ) was an actress in the late 1960s and through the 1970s. She was around at the same time as a lot of huge stars so did not become a major star herself, among her contemporaries were Waheeda Rehman, Rakhee, Sharmila Tagore, Hema Malini, Rekha, Jaya Bachchan.

She married singer actor Kishore Kumar, and after a divorce married actor Mithun Chakravorty, thus also starting the singing career of Bappi Lahiri ! As initially Kishore Kumar refused to sing for Mithun and hence Bappi the music director of many of Mithun's early films sang for Mithun himself.

She was also a niece to the star of the black and white era Geeta Bali, who was Shammi Kapoor's first wife.
