Yin Ju-keng

Yin Ju-keng (1888 - 1946)
Born in 1888, graduated from Waseda University, he served in Warlord governments before 1926 and then the Nationalists. In 1933 he became commissioner of the Luantung Area of the demilitarized zone in Hebei. On November 15, 1935 Yin proclaimed the area as the East Hebei Autonomous Council in opposition to the Nationalist government with the aid of the Japanese. After the Tungchow Mutiny in late July 1937 Yin was removed from office by the Japanese but he served in other puppet government offices until 1945. He was arrested by the Nationalists at the end of the war and was shot in 1946.
