The yellow jack (Carangoides bartholomaei) is one of several types of jacks. It inhabits the inland waters of the western Atlantic Ocean along the coast from Massachusetts in the United State to Brazil. These fish have a deep body that ranges in color from blue to gray to yellow. The name comes from the yellow fins that the adults typically have. Fullgrown yellow jacks can get around 30 inches long and can weigh up to 20 pounds.
