Yellow Sky

Yellow Sky is a 1948 American western movie directed by William A. Wellman.

The film tells the story of seven cowboys who rob a bank and are chased across the salt licks by the cavalry. They come upon a ghost town in which a tomboy and her father live, hiding a secret. The head bandit, played by Gregory Peck, falls for the girl, played by Anne Baxter, and the conflict begins. One of the crooks discovers the old man is hiding gold. Peck's character makes a deal: they will take half of the gold and leave half for the girl and the old man. One character, Richard Widmark, decides to take all the gold and eliminate all his partners. This film also stars Harry Morgan.
