Yang Yi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yang Yi (楊儀, ? - 235) is a minister of the Three Kingdoms Period that served under Shu Han. Yang Yi participated during the Northern Expedition of Shu. It is known that Yang Yi did not get along what so ever with Wei Yan, and was one of the reasons for the revolt of Wei Yan for directly opposing him following the death of Zhuge Liang. Yang Yi followed in being expelled from the court for complaining about his current rank. He was later jailed for his libelous criticism of Shu Han, and committed suicide in prison.
