Yang Yang (badminton)

Yang Yang is a Chinese badminton player. He is the only badminton player in the world to have won World Badminton Championships Men's Singles titles consecutively. He played a major role in China's early capulation of the coveted Thomas Cup and belonged to China's golden generation of badminton players of the 1980s.

As a member of China's golden badminton generation of the 1980s, Yang Yang played an important role in making China a major world badminton superpower. Players of his generation set the foundation for the current Chinese world badminton players.
