Yang-en University

Yang-en University (仰恩大学) is a private university located in the village of Majia outside Quanzhou, Fujian, China. www.yeu.edu.cn
It was founded in 1987 by Mr. Wu, an overseas Chinese from Burma whose parents came from Majia. it was China's first private university. Wu died in 2005, but family members are still involved.
It teaches mainly business subjects plus computer science. English is emphasized and there are 50-odd foreign teachers. Currently (late 2006), all students are undergraduate but there are plans to begin offerring a Masters soon.
