Yamakoshi, Niigata

Yamakoshi (山古志村; -mura) was a village located in Koshi District, Niigata, Japan.

As of 2003, the village has an estimated population of 2,035 and a density of 51.09 persons per km². The total area is 39.83 km².

On April 1, 2005, Yamakoshi merged with Nagaoka and the municipality of Yamakoshi was dissolved.
