Yakir (town)

Yakir (Hebrew: יקיר), is an Israeli settlement located in the West Bank's Samarian mountains about 35 km east of Tel Aviv near Revava and Nofim, on Road #5066 roughly between Barkan and Karnei Shomron. Founded in February 1981 in uninhabited territory, the town sits at 420 metres above sea level in the municipal territory of the Shomron Regional Council.
Over 240 families live in this Orthodox Jewish community.
