Yaghmai is the surname of a large family from Iran. Yaghmai, pronounced Yag-maa-ee, denotes that the family links to the famous Iranian poet Yaghma (in other words, the name means "associated with Yaghma"). The family's roots go back to the village of Jandagh in the Fars province of Iran. Today, most of the members of the family reside in Tehran and Mashhad, Iran, and many others are living abroad.

Many Yaghmai family members are prominent medical doctors. Others are leaders in their respective professions including sciences, law, business, engineering and architecture.
