[edit] History
Tod Gordon started XFC in 2006 on the heels of a resurgence in hardcore wrestling the previous year. This resurgence was the direct results of several ECW reunion shows, including those produced by Hardcore Homecoming and World Wrestling Entertainment.
In January 2006, the XFC issued a press release stating that they are looking to train new talent at the New Alhambra Sports and Entertainment Center in Philadelphia, PA. They are specifically looking for wrestlers, managers and referees. XFC's first Fantasy Camp will be held from May 24th to May 28, 2006.
The press release went on to state that the promotion is aiming to hold shows in 2006 at the New Alhambra Sports and Entertainment Center, which was formerly known as the ECW Arena.
