XPW European Championship

The Xtreme Pro Wrestling European Heavyweight Championship is a former professional wrestling title defended in the Frontier Wrestling Alliance.

The championship was created in 2003 through a working relationship between XPW and the FWA. This was to be the flagship of the working relationship as the title would be defended throughout Europe and would appear on both promotions respective television programmes, however the title's primary home was to be the FWA.

Both promotions entered in a joint 8-Man Single Elimination Tournament to crown the first champion.

FWA First Round Match: Zebra Kid vs "Wild Cat" Robbie Brookside ended in a Double Red Card as both men failed to return to the ring before a 20 count

FWA First Round Match: Jonny Storm defeated Juventud Guerrera

XPW First Round Match: Psicosis defeated Simon Diamond

XPW First Round Match: Jerry Lynn defeated Chris Hamrick

FWA Semi-Final Match: Jonny Storm had no challenger so continued to final

XPW Semi-Final Match: Jerry Lynn defeated Psicosis

Tournament Final: Jonny Storm defeated Jerry Lynn to become the first XPW European Champion

Though it was being defended in the FWA the belt itself has never actually been seen, due to XPW folding shortly after the tournament final that determined the first champion. Jonny Storm continued to defend the belt which was supposedly in the briefcase he carried with him around the world until January 2005 when Storm officially vacated the title.
