Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME) is a prominent Business School in India endeavouring to provide Value Based Management Education. It has a fully residential campus with access to seamless learning facilities, and is situated in the heart of the Silicon Valley of India. XIME is the only Institute in Bangalore with AICTE accreditation.

The Institute is founded by a group of well-known educationists, who have made significant contributions in the fields of Management & Professional Education in the country.The Chairman of the Board of Governors of XIME is Mr. Sarosh J. Ghandy, Former Managing Director, Telcon Ltd. of TATA Group and Former Chairman of XLRI.
The President of the Institute is Prof. J. Philip, Former Director of IIM ,Bangalore, Former Dean of XLRI-Jamshedpur, and the Founder President of the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS).

XIME is a non-profit organization whose primary objective is the promotion of managerial competence in the key sectors of the society.
XIME strives to ensure that the management graduates it produces would not only be efficient corporate managers but also responsible corporate citizens imbued with a positive set of values. It constantly reviews and updates its curriculum and pedagogy towards this end.
XIME has a commitment for upgrading the management quality in small scale and entrepreneurial organizations and executes this commitment through special short duration programmes.
XIME believes that the social sector deserves priority for achieving balanced national development and reflects this belief through specially designed programmes for those working in education, health and social service fields.
In all that it does, XIME strives to promote ethical and moral values, as well as respect for the composite culture and rich traditions of the country.

[edit] Socially Useful and Productive Activity
Every student is given an opportunity to work with an NGO or Government organization in the social welfare field in understanding its activities and needs and to make relevant contributions through the application of modern management concepts.
This programme is aimed towards orienting the students to become socially responsible and sensitive citizens.
[edit] Summer Project / Internship
The students go through well-planned and structured projects in the industry, during their course at XIME:
- The Summer Project at the end of their First Year for a period of 2 months
- Weekly industrial visits.
Under these programmes, students are required to work with organizations in a functional area or department of their choice: Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Operations or Systems.
The Internship Programme gives them hands on experience about the functional characteristics of the department or area in which they are specializing, in pursuit of their managerial career and an overview of the organization.

Recognizing the importance of EQ (Emotional Intelligence) in successful operation as a Manager, the Institute offers a full course in EQ spread over the fifth term.

This is another dimension of the PGDBM programme that has been designed to prompt the students to incorporate the ethical dimension as a part of their decision making process.

With the emphasis given to international business, which includes a course in Comparative Management Systems, XIME has made it a requirement for the students to acquire a working knowledge of at least one foreign language.
Currently, the students at XIME are required to study any one of the following three languages, namely German, French or Japanese.
The students are also trained to pick up the cultural aspects of doing business in some of the leading countries.

New ventures fuel economic revivals and are the basis on which modern day economies grow.
The vital role that the entrepreneurial mind can play in our economy is amply reflected by XIME offering a course in Entrepreneurship, as a part of the PGDBM curriculum.

The concept of Learning Circles has been introduced for the PGDBM II students, under the supervision of senior faculty members of XIME. The objective of this programme is to develop the overall personality of the students and to prepare them for life beyond the portals of the institute.

The students of XIME have always displayed an enthusiasm to compete, learn and keep abreast of the changing environment.
This has been reflected in their active participation in the club activities during the first and the second year. The five clubs and the student forum are :
Marketing :Marxxime, Founded Winter 1997 by Biju K. Alex, founder President, Guests include: Gautam Khanna and Hairsh Bijoor. The club was initially named Markxime and later christened marxxime.

CATALYST - the Student Forum
They have also been active in organizing social programmes like Blood Donation Camps, NGO visits to the Juvenile and Old-age homes.
