Xavier Guillemot, Breton nationalist, was the grandson of industrialist Jacques Guillemot. He was also related to Breton writer Tepod Gwilhmod. He was the first member of the Front national (National Front), and was secretary general of the Fraternité française (French Brotherhood). He was elected regional councillor of Centre (France) in 1998. Following the explosion of Le Pen's formation, he left Centre to form Bretagne nouvelle (New Brittany), later the Mouvement Régionaliste Breton (Breton Regionalist Movement)
