In the strategy/role-playing video game Fire Emblem, a Wyvern Lord is a person who has mastered the wyvern and can fully control one. Wyvern Riders may be promoted to Wyvern Lords. Much like the Wyvern Riders, Wyvern Lords are very weak against bows and magic. In Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi, Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword, and Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, they can use swords along with lances. In Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Wyvern Lords can use axes along with lances.

Wyvern Lords often have strong defense and offense, but are weak to magic attacks. However, they are often reffered to as "flying Generals" as the General class also features high levels of attack and defence, as well. The Wyvern Lord is the promotion of the Wyvern Rider, and promotes via the Elysian Whip. In Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword, the Wyvern Lord on the allied side was Heath and the evil one was Vaida (But she joins the good side); in Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, the good Wyvern Lord was Cormag (who was originally evil) and the evil one is Glen. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance's evil Wyvern Lord was Shiharam.
