[edit] Welcome to the Wikipedia!

I'm a bit of a newbie myself, but in the absence of anyone else providing an official welcome, I might as well be the one to say hello.

A few random useful things:

  • You can sign your name on any page by typing 4 tildes: ~~~~.
  • There's a tutorial over here, and a whole lot of useful stuff here.
  • If that doesn't answer your questions, you could try the Wikipedia:FAQ.

Have fun!

[edit] Personal Greeting

I noticed that you endorsed my summary on the RfC for Jason Gastrich, which prompted me to look at your user page. Based on your many user boxes, it looks like we have a good bit in common. Just wanted to say "Hi." Logophile 13:45, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ham Radio!

Please see the discussion at Category talk:Amateur Radio Operator for a discussion on how to identify Hams and Ham personalities on Wikipedia. Steve Kd4ttc 03:03, 26 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:Jyllands-Posten_Muhammad_cartoons_controversy Thoughts

'Comment' Wikipedia is not censored. Period. End of discussion. We don't need to worry about offending people. The only debate to this image should be whether or not it has encyclopedic merit (should exist/be deleted) or if its legal/illegal in Florida. Then discuss whether or not it's the most important image for the article(placed at top). There are some other articles that I have some serious censorship issues with that I may or may not approach in the future. But for some reason, this one has just irked me. Why does everyone these days get so offended? Big deal. There are tons of religions offended by wikipedia articles. I don't come to wikipedia to feel good about myself. I come here to learn. I want uncensored, straight information. If uncensored information is against your religion, then you should not be part of the wikipedia community, as per Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not Wynler 04:20, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
