Talk:Wyandotte Caves/Temp
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I saw this on the copywrite violations list. I'll write a replacement article. ONUnicorn 15:25, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- I've started writing the replacement article. Some notes on what I'm doing for anyone else who might be interested:
- I can't figure out how to get the references to migrate to the references section; I thought it happened automatically?
- I've made a rough outline for sections I think should be in the finished article. Some are empty now, I'll populate them in due time, unless someone else wants to take a stab at them?
- It may take a couple days for me to get something resembling a finished article out of this, especially since I'm responding to the previous copy-vio that was here and not really doing the level or quality of research I think the topic needs. I don't know how long this stays at the temp page before being moved to replace the copy vio, but if it does move to the main namespace before I get to it, the empty sections should probably either be removed or quickly populated with a sentence or to, just to make it look better.
- If anyone else wants to work on this, feel free. Especially if you've got pictures. My husband and I have been meaning to re-visit Wyandotte, but I'm not sure when we'll have the time and the money, and we haven't got a digital camera so whenever I do it'll take a while for me to get pictures here.
- This is the last edit I'll be making to this tonight. I'm not sure yet how much time I'll have tomorrow to work on it.

[edit] Wasted effort?
In the midst of putting more time and effort into this than into almost any other single Wikipedia article I've worked on to date, I came across Wyandotte Cave. I feel that, before continuing work on this article, a decision must be made about redirecting one or the other page. See the discussion I initiated on that article's talk page here.
