WWE ThemeAddict: The Music, Vol. 6 (2004) | WWE Wreckless Intent (2006) |
|
WWE Wreckless Intent is a compilation album released by WWE on May 23, 2006. The album is the sequel to the previously released WWF Forceable Entry album (the working title for the album was WWE Forceable Entry 2) and like its predecessor it featured rock and metal artists performing versions of the wrestlers' entrance themes. A noted change with this album compared to the first Forceable Entry album is the incorporation of rap and hip-hop artists (similar to the format used on the WWF Aggression album) doing versions of entrance themes as well as providing additional original tracks.

- Wreckless Intent was released in conjunction with the WrestleMania 22 DVD, that came out on the same day.
- The album was originally slated for a January release, but due to heavy time constraints, the release date was pushed back to May.
- The first few hundred people who pre-order the album on sonymusicstore.com got a free booklet autographed by a top wrestler as well as a WWE ball keychain. At WWEShop.com, a free signed John Cena trading card was given for each copy of the album.

- The album debuted in the Billboard 200 at #8. [4]
- "Quien Soy Yo" is yet to be used on WWE broadcasts.
[edit] Cancelled tracks
Tego Calderón, Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, John Cena, Suck or Punch and Chunk were at one point mentioned to be artists featured on the album, but did not make it onto the final track listing. [5] [6] [7]
- Disturbed were originally approached for making a new theme for Triple H, but it seems that Motörhead has made the final cut. [8]
- Cena noted on his WWE.com segment "5 Questions with the Champ" that his track was a remix of Ric Flair's entrance theme, Also sprach Zarathustra. [9]
- Chunk recorded a new cover version of "Pay The Price". However, the original was featured on the iTunes release instead. [10]
- Avenged Sevenfold recorded a cover of Pantera's Walk for the album, but it was cut and later released on the Kerrang! compilation. The original was Rob Van Dam's entrance theme in Extreme Championship Wrestling.
[edit] Album leak
The album was leaked onto the Internet on May 12, 2006. Prior to that leak, four tracks were also found on the Internet:
- "Quien Soy Yo" was prematurely leaked onto the Internet on May 3, 2006 through Kaballon's MySpace profile. The MySpace track was 35 seconds shorter than the Wreckless Intent release.
- The track "Deadly Game" was leaked through a rip of the No Way Out 2006 DVD.
- "This Fire Burns" leaked onto the Internet on May 4, 2006. The full song could also be heard at WWE.com's Judgment Day website.
- "King of Kings" was released in full through a TitanTron video on WWE.com a month before the official release date. However, the link to the video was found to be nowhere on the site, due to WWE not placing the link in the "Video" section of Triple H's bio on WWE.com. The link was found by someone randomly searching from WWE.com's servers. There is a notable difference between the WWE.com video and the Wreckless Intent track with less vocals used during the guitar solo in the latter.
