WVIA-TV is the PBS member station broadcasting on channel 44 to most of northeastern and central Pennsylvania.

WVIA-TV 44 signed on September 12, 1966 on NET and airs the Educational Programs during the day & Off-Network Sitcoms. On October 5, 1970 WVIA-TV 44 sumbitted to PBS-TV and over the Next 36 Years that Channel 44 broadcast local programs in Northeast & Central Pennsylvania & South Central New York. In 2001-2002 WVIA-DTV Channel 41 signed on.
