Wutachtalbahn

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Wutachtalbahn is one of the most unusual and impressive railways stretchs in Germany. It links the cities of Waldshut on the border of Baden-Württemberg and Switzerland and Immendigen on the Schwarzwaldbahn or the Black Forest train and runs further through the southern Black Forest. It is well-known for its curved route, large viaducts, and bridges. Originally created a strategic route for the military, it is preserved as a standard gauge route and is popular with tourists.
