Wuhai

[[Image:[Zuchinni 1107.JPG]|]] Wuhai (Chinese: 乌海; pinyin: Wūhǎi; literally "Dark Sea") is a small prefecture-level city (since 1976) and regional center in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of People's Republic of China. It is located on the Huang He between the Gobi and Ordos deserts at . The population in 1991 was 264,081 1991.
The city's economy is based on coal mining, electric power generation, metal-working and chemical industries, as well as fruit (grapes) and dairy farming. It is Baotou-Lanzhou rail line, and an airport was opened in 2003.
Rock art in six places at the foot of the Zhouzhi Shan (Mount Zhouzhi) has been dated back to the Xia, Shang, and Zhou Dynasties, the Warring States Period, and the Han Dynasty.
