Wu Kai Sha

Wu Kai Sha (烏溪沙) , formerly known as Wu Kwai Sha or U Kwai Sha (鳥龜沙), is a place at the shore of Tolo Harbour, northwest of Ma On Shan in the New Territories, Hong Kong. It is famous for a campsite, Wu Kai Sha Youth Village of YMCA. Originally there were only a few villages like Wu Kwai Sha Village. It is now an extension of a new town in Ma On Shan.

In early days, only rough roads to the area. Many residents and visitors take kai to from Ma Liu Shui, near KCR University Station, across Tolo Harbour to the area.
With new town extended to the area, roads were extended and renovated. Sai Sha Road is an alternative way go to Sai Kung. KCR built Wu Kai Sha Station on Ma On Shan Rail for the need of new town.
