WSLC-FM / 94.9 Star Country is a Country radio station serving the Roanoke - Lynchburg and the New River Valley area of Virginia and West Virginia, in the United States. WSLC has an ERP of 98,000 watts. WSLC currently ranks 3rd in the Arbitron ratings for the Roanoke-Lynchburg radio market.

The station is owned by Mel Wheeler, Inc., along with "K92", "Q 99", and WFIR-AM located in the same market. In the Marion, Virginia area, WSLC deals with a tremendouse amount of interference from co-channel "Electric 94.9", which broadcasts from Greeneville, Tennessee.

  • Was at one time WPVR, first with a Beautiful Music format for many years, which evolved into soft A/C, and later switching to "Arrow 94.9" with a classic rock format.
  • Mel Wheeler, Inc. bought the station in 1997, along with WXLK-FM, WSLQ-FM, and WFIR-AM
