WSIC-AM[1] is a radio station operating in Statesville, North Carolina. The station started service in May 3rd of 1947 along with its sister station WFMX(originally WSIC-FM). The pair was the first AM and FM radio station to sign on simultaneously in the nation. Some of WSIC's alum include Ty Boyd and Harold Johnson. The station is owned by Clear Channel Communications, however operating under a LMA with Iredell Broadcasting, Inc.
