WRNB is an Urban Adult Contemporary station that broadcasts on the 107.9 frequency in the Philadelphia area owned by Radio One. The station features R&B (hence the callsign), Classic Soul, Gospel, and the syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show. The main competitor of WRNB in the Philadelphia market is WDAS, which broadcasts on the 105.3 frequency. WDAS used to feature the Tom Joyner Morning Show, until WRNB won the rights to the syndicated morning show through its owner Radio One, purchasing half of the morning show's parent company, Reach Media. WRNB's transmitter is located in Philadelphia.

Before WRNB went on the air in 2004, the call letters were used for, coincidentally, a Radio One-owned sister station in Dayton, Ohio. 107.9 was taken by a local high school station, WHHS, owned by Haverford Senior High School. The station still exists, but it is now called WROU. And the callsign WRNB is an Eastern reflection of, by coincidence, an R&B station in Dallas called KRNB.
