[edit] Non-original members

Shouldn't the page be updated to include non-original, members. I mean, they're Wraiths too. 70.105.106.147 02:41, 18 September 2005 (UTC)

It certainly could be; I guess no one has gotten around to doing that yet, though. – Mipadi 05:33, 18 September 2005 (UTC)
Guess what guys! I just got bored enough. I'll do as many as the X-Wing series characters as I can recall, and at a later date, handle the NJO Saberwyn 06:33, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
I've added the pilots mentioned in Rebel Dream. Saberwyn 03:35, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Crazy Idea

This article is hard to expand in its current format. What I'd like to do is keep this article for a detailed 'history' of Wraith Squadron, and create a List of Wraith Squadron Pilots, where we can keep the personal data. This list could either be organised alphabetically, in order of appearance, or by call sign, and would make it a lot easier to integrate info from the second and third Wraith books, along with their appearance in New Jedi Order.

Also, the same could later be done with the Rogue Squadron article, just to tidy both articles up. Any ideas/comments? Saberwyn 08:11, 6 October 2005 (UTC)

I personally don't mind having the information on the pilots stay on this page, but I guess it's not a bad thing to move it to another page either. If you do move it to another page, make sure that you check out all the pages that link here to make sure they link to the new page if they link to the pilots.
Also, the page should be at List of Wraith Squadron pilots, so make sure to move the information to that page if you do. – Mipadi 14:56, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
  • On second thoughts, this may be too crazy an idea... Saberwyn 03:35, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image License

Someone's piece of software has just told me that the Wraith Squadron unit patch image is a potential candidate for deletion. This is because I had tagged the image copyright as unknown, and stated in the image summary all the source information that I had, along with the assumed tag, why I thought the assumed tag might not legally apply, and requested that someone with greater knowledge of image licensing come forward and inform me of the appropriate tag.

I am now going to be bold, instead of being safe; have tagged the image license as both "Don't know" and "Logo", and have re-added the image to the article. If I have done the wrong thing, could a human please contact me on my talk page. -- Saberwyn - 08:50, 3 February 2006 (UTC)

Are you sure {{logo}} applies to the image in question? – Mipadi 12:36, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
No, I don't. Which is why I originally tagged it "don't know", and requested in the summary that someone with greater knowledge inform me of the appropriate licensing for the image. I wasn't too happy when someone's piece of software came and told me that because I didn't know and had admitted as such, the image now was a candidate for speedy deletion.
Now, I have tagged it as both "logo" and "don't know", and have requested both here, and in the image summary, that a human either direct me to the appropriate license for this image, or explain to me in plain, uncomplicated terms, how and why this image fails the GFDL-compatible image licensing scheme. -- Saberwyn - 04:29, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
Isn't that an abuse of the tagging system? If the image isn't known, it might not be free for use; and if it's not, then it should be deleted. The software, OrphanBot, isn't doing a bad thing by removing such images. If you copy an image to Wikimedia, you have to find out the source and whether it's legal for use or not—you can't just tag it so it doesn't get deleted. – Mipadi 15:19, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
I tagged it "Logo", because that is the tag used by the images in the Rogue Squadron and Rebel Alliance, along with numerous fictional organisations from other 'universes'. I originally tagged it "Don't Know", because I don't. I'm working off guesswork and what I've seen on other articles on Wikipedia. If it needs to be deleted, put it up for deletion, but I want someone who understands the image licensing system to have a look at the information in the summary, and explain to me where I went wrong. Is not that the purpose of the "don't know" tag? -- Saberwyn - 20:54, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
I believe that the pic originates from AaronAllston.com and is probably a freelance artist's rendition. It probably isn't copyrighted but maybe seeking permission from Aaron Allston to use it would work since it's on his site and he can be emailed at allston@AaronAllston.com. http://www.aaronallston.com/graphics/faq/ws-patch.gif-- rwongega 14:07, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talon Squadron

The link for Talon Squadron reverts back to the Wraith Squadron page. Someone should create the page for Talon Squadron. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 150.199.111.253 (talk • contribs) 17:12, Jun 26, 2006 (UTC).

Talon Squadron is such a minor part of the Star Wars Expanded Universe that it would probably make more sense to just have a mention of it here. – Mipadi 00:13, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
