Worthing Football Club are an English association football club based in Worthing, West Sussex, currently playing in the Isthmian League Premier Division.

In the 2004-05 season they finished a credible tenth in the Isthmian League Premier Division, and are currently building on that finish with a push towards a playoff position for the 2005-06 season.

[edit] Goalkeepers

  • Chuck Martini: Morocaan under 21 and full international, Martini joined Worthing in November 2005 from Kingstonian. He has also played for Wimbledon in the Football League.

[edit] Defenders

  • Marc Pullan: A very experienced defender who joined in the summer of 2004. He has represented England at semi-professional level.
  • Ben Andrews: Strong central defender coming to Worthing for another time after going out to Burgess Hill and Horsham YMCA for some time.
  • Stewart Holmes: A right sided defender who joined from Eastbourne Borough of the Conference South in 2004. In the past he has played for Crawley Town, Lewes and Bognor Regis Town.
  • Andy Lutchwye: A speedy right back who joined in 2003 from Horsham YMCA. He also plays cricket for Worthing Cricket Club.
  • Marc Cable: Joined from Conference South side Lewes in the summer of 2005 after serving as club captain at the Drying Pan for five seasons.
  • Mark Knee: Played over 300 matches for Worthing since joining from Lewes in the year 2003. Can play from left back all the way to striker.

  • Paul Rogers: A very experienced midfielder having represented Brighton & Hove Albion, Notts County and Wigan Athletic. While at Brighton he captained the side.
  • Roy Pook: A previous player for Withdean and Burgess Hill Town, Roy is a very good general attacking midfielder for Worthing Town.
  • Adam Hunt: Adam progressed into the first team from the youth set up at Worthing Town. An young and powerful right sided midfielder.
  • Owen Hill: A very good midfielder who has previous experience with Withdean, Lewes and Brighton & Hove Albion of the Football League.
  • Shaun Grice: Joined Worthing from Withdean Town in 2003 and stores an amazing powerful shot which he uses regularly.
  • Danny Davis: Having previously played for St Albans and Brighton with a spell at Lewes Danny Davis is a good expereienced midfielder.
  • Liam Collins: Tricky right sided midfielder who joined in 2005 from Kingstonian, has also previous experience with Walton + Hersham, his first ever club.
  • Lee Charles: A former England semi professional playing either striker or in midfield. A former professional with Queens Park Rangers. He moved to Worthing from St Albans after being at Weymouth FC.

  • Sam Francis: Sam Francis notched up 50 goals while playing for Withdean Town in the 2002/2003 season. He joined Worthing in the summer of 2003 and scored 35 goals that season. A good youngster.
  • Richard Pacquette: A top class striker with former clubs on his list including Queen Park Rangers, Brentford, Milton Keynes Dons and is still a young forward with much ability.
  • Stafford Browne: A good striker, with many goals to his name with excellent ball control in his matches.
  • Andrew Alexander: Alexader came through the youth season at Worthing F.C. but had a spell at Three Bridges in the 2003/2004 season.
  • Jamie Brotherton: Brotherton is at the young age of 17 and has a promising future ahead of him. He is a full time apprentice at the football club.
  • Nko Ekoku: With previous clubs being Harrow Borough and Sutton United Nko has a vast experience in non league football. He joined the club in 2004 from Leatherhead FC.
