World Snooker Championship 2003

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2003 Embassy World Snooker Championship took place between 19 April and 5 May 2003 at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield. Peter Ebdon looked to defend his world title which he won in 2002, but the final winner was Mark Williams, beating Ken Doherty by 18 frames to 16 in the final.

Ken Doherty recorded one of the greatest snooker comebacks of all time in his semi-final victory over Paul Hunter when he came from from 15-9 behind, after the 3rd session, to win 17-16 in the 4th and final session.
