[edit] The event
The 1993 Embassy World Snooker Championship took place at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield between the 16 April and 3 May 1993. The final stands out for the fact that Hendry annihilated White in the final 18-5 in what was his greatest performance at the Crucible, steamrollering White with absolutely flawless snooker to which Jimmy had no answer to. Hendry would be on the receiving end of an equally flawless display from Ronnie O'Sullivan in the 2004 World semi-final, eventually losing 4-17.
