World Hurdle

The World Hurdle is a Grade 1 National Hunt horse race in the United Kingdom for four-year-old and above horses run over a distance of 3 miles (4,828 metres) at Cheltenham Racecourse during the Cheltenham Festival in March. There are twelve hurdles to be jumped in the race.
It was first run under its current conditions in 1972 as the Stayers' Hurdle, changing to the present name in 2005. It is the most prestigious long distance hurdle race in the United Kingdom.
