World Games (computer game)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

World Games is a sports video game developed by Epyx for the Commodore 64. Versions for the Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum and other contemporary systems were also released. The NES version was released by Milton Bradley.

The game was a continuation in the Epyx sports line that previously released extremely successful titles such as Summer Games and Winter Games.

[edit] Events

The events available vary slightly depending on the platform, and may include:

The game allowed you to compete in all of the events sequentially, choose a few events, choose just one event, or practice an event.

[edit] Easter Eggs

  • If you keep weights lifted up and do not release them, your player eventually falls through the floor. As your weight bar suspends itself midair, your player peeks his head up from the hole in the floor, whereas the bar comes down on his head, returning him below. (This works only if you have chosen weights that are heavy enough.)
  • If you jump and successfully land before you reach barrels, your player tocks his head.
  • If you stand underneath a caber pole, it will stamp you into the ground.
