World Brain Tumour Day is celebrated every year on 8th June. It is an international commemoration day and was announced by the German Brain Tumour Association (Deutsche Hirntumorhilfe e.V.) in the year 2000. Based in Leipzig, the non-profit organisation holds more than 500 members from twelve nations. The World Brain Tumour Day was created as a special tribute to all brain tumour patients and their families.
